I MISS MY HOMETOWN...

I Came From A Particularly Beautiful Nebula. The Beings Of This Planet Call It Barnard’s Loop. According To Their Understanding, It’s About 1,500 Light-Years Away. Which Is, Really, Not That Far. The Universe Has Places Countless Light-Years Away. So This Was More Or Less A Trip Across The Street.
I Am, In Fact, A Speck Of Cosmic Dust.
Sometimes I Get Tired. When That Happens, I Sit On A Passing Comet And Catch A Free Ride.
Much Easier Than Flying By Myself. Along The Way, I Caught A Fantastic Supernova, Then An Abyssal But Alluring Black Hole.
At First, I Was Just Stardust. I Don’t Remember How Long It Took, But Eventually I Somehow Grew My First Biological Form:
After Visiting More Worlds, I Learned How To Imitate The Local Lifeforms. On This Planet, I Look Like A Human. Earth Turned Out To Have Some Interesting Forms Of Matter. It Also Has A Pretty Good View Of My Hometown, If You Know Where To Look.
I Used Some Of Earth Matter To Record Things Worth Keeping: Important Moments, Funny Things I Noticed Here, Completely Unreasonable Ideas They Gave Me, And Sometimes Earth-Made Versions Of Things I Recorded Somewhere Else Before.
I’m Having Quite A Lot Of Fun In This Life, On This Planet.

...Nah. IN YOUR HUMAN DREAMS.
And Perhaps, Later, On Another Planet, I Will Look Up At Earth’s Direction. For Just Once =)
